The ProCare Diabetic Shoe assists with the treatment of diabetic ulcers or pre-ulcerative foot conditions. The shoe works to relieve pressure on ulcerated feet, and features a squared toe box and wide foot bed for ample room for dressing.

How Does the Shoe Take the Pressure Away from the Wound?

For pressure relief, the ProCare shoe features an Impax Grid tri-laminate insole that is designed to help redistribute load away from ulcers by simply removing the Impax foam blocks. Additionally the seamless design of the shoe helps eliminate potential for skin breakdown.

Removable Reinforced Toecover

Included with this shoe for diabetic ulcers, is a removable reinforced toecover which protects the toes from external aggression while allowing easy access to the treatment area. However, the cover is removable as and when desired for improved patient comfort.

How Comfortable is the ProCare Wound Care Shoe?

Keeping an ulcerated foot as comfortable as possible is important for treatment. The Off-Loading Diabetic Shoe contains a lightweight breathable material which enhances patients comfort and promotes compliance, and has a squared toe box and wide foot bed for room for wound dressings.

Washing Instructions

We do not advise you wash your ProCare Diabetes Shoe as this may have a detrimental affect on the effectiveness of the Velcro strap and the overall shape of the boot itself. If you do need to wash your shoe, we recommend handwashing the internal section with warm soapy water before leaving the item to air dry.

Please Note: If not rinsed thoroughly, residual soap may cause irritation and deterioration of materials.
