Who Can Use the Tensopress High-Compression Bandages?
The high-compression bandages are designed for use by doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals working alongside patients with venous leg ulcers. As the bandages are provided in a pack of ten, with a choice of widths, you can maintain good stock levels of the bandages to ensure they are available as and when required by the patient.
How Do the Tensopress Extensible Bandages Work?
As varicose veins can often cause venous leg ulcers, the Type 3C bandage provides high levels of compression to reduce the the size of the varicose veins, in turn reducing pain and discomfort caused by venous leg ulcers. They increase blood flow velocity and improving venous return.
How Comfortable Are the Bandages?
When dealing with painful venous leg ulcers, it's important that bandages are as comfortable as possible. With this in mind, the Tensopres bandages are made from a cotton-viscose mix, and feature soft edges to prevent them cutting into the patient's leg.
How Long Can the Bandages Be Worn For?
The Tensopress bandages offer up to eight days of even and consistent compression. By lasting for around a week or so, this reduces the need to change the bandage daily.
How Easy Is It to Apply the Type 3C Bandage?
The Type 3C Tensopress Bandage features a central green line. This helps you to guide the bandage with a precise application, which in turn will result in even compression and patient comfort.
Can I Wash the Bandages?
Yes, the bandages can be washed. Each bandage will retain its level of performance for up to 20 washes.
