Slippy Heel Protectors with Lambswool (Pair)

If you've got pressure sores and are concerned about them opening up during the night, look no further. Slippy Heel Protectors with Lambswool (Pair) are designed to prevent shear force and friction causing pressure sores to open up during the night.

They are easy to apply and use a soft and comfortable wool interior to prevent rubbing and contact with your mattress, duvet or blanket.

What's Included with My Purchase?

  • 1 x Pair of Heel Protectors

What Do Slippy Heel Protectors Do?

Because you cannot control and regulate your movement during the night, friction and rubbing can mean the aggravation of pressure sores when you're asleep in bed. Designed for protecting the heels from shear force during the night, Slippy Heel Protectors are essential wear if you're suffering with pressure sores.

How Can the Slippy Heel Protectors for Bed Help Me?

The Lambswool Heel Protectors are primarily designed to protect the heel during the night. They help with:

  • Pressure Sores
  • Blisters
  • Heel Friction
  • Shear Force

Are They Different to Standard Heel Protectors?

Unlike the Pressure Relief Fleeced Heel Protectors which are great for use during the day, these Heel Protectors feature a "slippy" nylon outer material layer that doesn't catch or snag when it comes into contact with other fabric. This makes them the better choice for use during the night, when you cannot control the placement or movement of your foot.

How Do Lambswool Heel Protectors Prevent Pressure Sores?

Pressure sores can be caused by being confined to a bed or chair for long periods of time. Slippy Heel Protectors form a comfortable shield against blankets, duvets and the mattress beneath, preventing friction, rubbing and shear force opening up wounds and pressure sores during the night.

Sizing Information for Lambswool Heel Protectors

Slippy Heel Protectors feature a Velcro attachment which fits across the front of the ankle, allowing you to adjust the fit and feel of your protectors as you see fit. They are supplied in a single "one-size-fits-most" design that should fit most adult users.

The Slippy Heel Protectors run approximately 10cm up the ankle from the base of the heel.

How Do I Correctly Attach Heel Protectors to My Feet?

To fit your heel protectors correctly, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Undo the Velcro strap and place your heel inside the protector as demonstrated in the image below
  2. Place the back of your heel against the cushioned fabric until comfortable
  3. Take the loose strap and wrap it over the front of the protector until comfortable
  4. Now that the protector is comfortable and in place, fasten the loose strap to the Velcro on the opposite side until your foot feels secure and stable

For an idea of how your protectors should look when correctly worn, please see the image below:

How to apply your Slippy Heel Protectors

Too big

These are very soft and definitely help pressure points on my heels, however they do come off during the night.
I have slim feet and ankles so they are quite baggy, would possibly help if they came in different sizes.

Slippy heel Protectors
22 February 2024  |  Patricia

I've just had a hip replacement and been given some foot sliding exercises to do in bed. The danger of doing these unprotected is the possibility of causing sores on the heels. The Slippy heel Protectors are perfect for preventing injury and enable me to exercise safely. I wear them all night. I definitely recommend.

Iíve had two foot operations on both feet, these have helped a lot after my recent surgery. I use one also on my operated foot which had surgery over 2 years ago as it protects my ankle bone in bed, from firm mattress. Would purchase again if needed.
