Medline Blue Silk Non-Stick PTFE-Coated Electrode (Pack of 12)
The Medline Blue Silk Non-Stick PTFE-Coated Electrode is a single use, sterile electrosurgical electrode. With a standard 2.4mm (3/32") shaft, it is designed to fit to most electrosurgical pencils. These electrodes are supplied in a pack of 12, providing you with greater value for money.
Focussed Electrosurgery
The Blue Silk Electrode is coated with PTFE, the same non-stick compound used in Teflon. This reduces build-up of eschar (carbonised tissue) on the electrode tip, helping to make surgery more efficient and focussed. The Blue Silk Electrode also features a rounded blade edge, which prevents RF current from concentrating too much energy in any one particular area, reducing damage to peripheral tissue.
Suitable for Wet Conditions
With a ribbed insulation, the Blue Silk Electrode makes tip changes easy, even in wet conditions. The Blue Silk Electrode can be easily cleaned with a wet piece of gauze or sponge, precluding the need to use an abrasive scratch pad.
