Cromptons Reusable Non-Coated Transfer Sheet (Pack of 5)

Handling and repositioning immobilised patients can be difficult without proper equipment. The Cromptons Reusable Non-Coated Transfer Sheet (Pack of 5) is the perfect solution for situations where you might want to use a less slippery sheet, with no silicone coating.

Key Features of the Reusable Non-Coated Transfer Sheet

  • Made from 120gsm reusable Non-Coated fabric
  • Ideal for operating theatre use, where a less slippery slide sheet is desirable
  • Suitable for hospital laundering
  • Can be used for emergency lifting
  • Latex-free for reduced irritation
  • CE approved for reliable quality
  • Supplied in a pack of 5

Who Can Use Non-Coated Transfer Sheets?

Cromptons Non-Coated Transfer Sheet is a full body length transfer sheet and features six ergonomically positioned handles. Since there is no silicone coating, this sheet is ideal for patient transfer in the operating theatre, where a less slippery slide sheet may be desirable.

It is important to follow your local hospital patient handling guidelines, which are normally available from the Health and Safety department.

Suitable for Emergency Lifting

The transfer sheet may be used for emergency lifting only. When used for lifting, all six handles should be utilised. Non-Coated Transfer Sheets have a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg when used for sliding, whereas in case of emergency lifting the maximum weight capacity is 200kg.

Maintenance of Reusable Non-Coated Sheets

Although Reusable Non-Coated Sheets have a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg, wear and tear will progressively reduce weight capacity. It is advised that you always inspect your sheets prior to use for stitching and fabric degradation.

Laundering Instructions

To clean the transfer sheets, please follow standard hospital laundry guidelines HSG(95)18. Bleaching agents should be avoided and the maximum recommended washing temperature is 80°C. To dry, drip drying is recommended, although low temperature tumble dry may be used if necessary.
