The carbon fibres are interwoven with thermoplastic fibres to allow for the material to be heated and formed at lower temperatures.

How Do I Shape the Carbon and Glass Fibre Foot Plates?
As the Carbon and Glass Fibre Foot Plates are made from TFC, they can be moulded using a heat gun or by placing the material in a specialist oven. Extra reinforcement materials can also be heated and applied as per the needs of the patient.
The TFC custom lay-up can then be placed into the oven under vacuum at a maximum temperature of 430°F for 30 to 45 minutes to render the lay-up into a single piece. TFC is also remouldable should adjustments be required.
