It is suitable for use by patients who measure up to 170cm in height and have a weight of 160kg maximum. This standing aid is an active hoist, meaning that it will require some small movement from the patient. This makes it unsuitable for patients who are fully immobile.

How Do I Use This Active Hoist?
To use the hoist, first it is important to check that the patient's weight and height is appropriate for use with this unit. You must also clear the area around the hoist before beginning to help the patient into it.
- Start by helping the patient into a seated position and help them to put on the sling (sold separately) while in this position
- Ensure the sling is secure and properly lined up with the patient's body
- Move the hoist towards where the patient is sitting, and place their feet onto the footplate
- Securely attach the sling, while worn by the patient, to the hoist
- Use the hand-held control to lift the patient into a standing position
