The Bed Entrapment Avoidance Foot Board is a unique device placed at the foot of the bed to prevent injury and discomfort. It has a comfortable and plush wool-style cover that is soft to touch, allowing for continued use throughout the night.

What Is a Foot Board?

A foot board is an innovative piece of equipment designed to keep a patient in a safe and stable position throughout the night. A patients feet are placed on the soft and comfortable material, as they would at the end of a standard bed. This prevent them slipping down the bed as they natural move throughout the night.

Is the Bed Foot Board Restrictive?

A foot board is not restrictive, as it simply provides a buffer that prevents the user sliding down the bed. There are no attachments or fastenings, it simply provides a soft surface to prevent sliding.

What Does the Anti-Entrapment Footboard Do?

The foot board stops the user sliding down the bed as they sleep. Why is this needed? Certain conditions mean a lot of movement during the night that can result in falls and roll-out. A foot board is a comfortable and safe way of ensuring a natural and safe sleeping position is maintained throughout the night.

Who Should Use One?

If you or a patient move about routinely during the night and find that this is causing muscle pain, sciatic nerve pain or other pain in the legs, then maintaining and encouraging a more static position whilst sleeping may help to alleviate some symptoms.

Each foot board comes in two different variations that are both available to purchase. These variants include:

This footboard design is compatible with single Divan beds or single metal-frame beds.

What Material Is It Made With?

The material is a sheepskin imitation that gently and softly cushions the feet throughout the night. The material is plush and soft and is a much nicer alternative to the cold, wooden boards used in other similar products.
