The Sleep Knit Flame-Retardant Top Flat Bed Sheet forms part of the Sleep Knit Flame-Retardant Bedding Range and is designed to be laid or fitted on top of a single bed. The sheet promises user comfort and safety making it ideal for hospital and care home beds, but can also be used for general beds at home.
Unique Toe Pleat Design
Sleep Knit top bed sheets feature two fitted corners at the base with extra fabric on the width to create a unique toe pleat. This design assists in the prevention of pressure sores in users by increasing space for feet for movement whilst also giving excellent comfort and warmth.
How To Fit This Semi-Fitted Sheet
For versatility, the Sleep Knit top bed sheet can be used in two ways:
- Open Fit: The top sheet can be left open by folding the sheet back on itself at the bottom of the bed leaving the sheet totally open with easy access to the feet for the staff e.g. in podiatry or orthopaedics or surgery units and in longer term facilities particularly for patients with dementia.
- Tucked in for a closed bed: The top sheet can be tucked in for patients who prefer it that way or staff wish to make the bed by neatly tucking in. The sheet has extra fabric at the bottom which acts as a "toe pleat" giving plenty room for the feet to move around even when tucked in.
