The Erler-Zimmer Nursing Newbown Simulator is a life-like replica of a 0-8 week old newborn for midwives, paediatricians, and other medical professionals in training to practise a range newborn care techniques. With soft, detailed and life-like skin, the model simulates a real life-life baby to allow for the most realistic of training, and comes with an interchangeable male organ for practise of both female and male newborn patient care.

Interchangeable Male Organ
This newborn simulator doll also includes an interchangeable male organ to practise care techniques on a male newborn as well as a female newborn. Both the male and female organs are moulded from sift vinyl. The male organ attachment simulates the external genitalia, complete with scrotum. The vaginal passage is closed at the introitus. Both male and female catheterisation can be practised.
Urinary System
The Erler-Zimmer Newborn Nursing Simulator includes a urethral passage and bladder which are connected by a double diaphragm valve to make catheterisation exercises more realistic. Fluid may be withdrawn from the bladder after the insertion of an appropriately-sized catheter.
