The Alerta Electric Profiling Bed functions as a mobility aid for those who may need extra assistance switching between lying, seated, and standing positions. The independently controlled and motor-powered profiling bed moves and rotates at the push of a button for ease-of-use.
Users can adjust the bed to suit their comfort and mobility needs, including being able to modify the position of the electric-powered back rest and knee brake adjustment. The bed can also be independently moved between lying and seated positions, including rotating so that the user's legs hang over the bed frame. From this seated position, the hand rails offer extra assistance and support for the user to move into a standing position.

Is the Mattress Included?
The Alerta Lomond Electric Bed comes with a profiling foam mattress. This mattress is designed for maximum comfort and functionality, with some of its top features including:

How Should the Mattress Cover Be Cleaned?
This mattress includes a machine washable cover. To wash this cover, follow the below instructions:
- Put the cover on a main wash at 65°C for no less than 10 minutes or 95°C for no less than 3 minutes
- Mattress foam can be autoclaved (steam sterilised) at 134°C
- Air dry or tumble dry on a low heat (no higher than 60°C)
Is This Rotating Bed Height Adjustable?
With the touch of a button on the included twelve-function handset, the height of this bed can be adjusted from between 40cm to 80cm off the ground. The height range available should be suitable for most needs, including providing a safe working height for carers and an ideal height for patient transfers.
Is the 12-Function Handset Included?
Included is a 12-function handset that allows the user to adjust the position of the bed, as well as shift and rotate it between lying and seated positions. This handset features a lock-out capability that allows care-givers to prevent patients from adjusting the beds, which is ideal when patient movement may affect their treatment.
Is This Bed Supplied with Side Rails?
This bed is supplied with side rails. These help to prevent the user from falling out of the bed, and also offer extra assistance when moving between seated and standing positions.
