Usage Guidelines for the Swift Slider
Please follow these instructions or watch the video below to properly and more effectively use the Swift 4Way Slider Sheet. The sheet should be used with a caregiver on either side of the bed.
- Place the brakes of the bed on.
- Place pillow at the head of the bed above the patient to avoid accidental head injury.
- Place the Swift slider on the bed, with the low-friction blue panel facing the mattress.
- Position the patient centrally on the white surface of the slider.
- Lower the side rails and raise the bed to almost elbow height of the shortest caregiver.
- Each caregiver should hold the positioning aid with two hands: one at shoulder height and one at hip height.
- Gather the sheet as close as possible to the patient's body and reposition by laterally shifting body weight.
- Once successfully repositioned, smooth out the sliding sheet and tuck flaps securely under the mattress.

- Suitable for use in a continuous batch washer (CBW)
- Maximum main wash temperature: 90°C (65 - 71°C or above achieves thermal disinfection)
- It is advised that the load should be around 85 - 90% of the washer capacity for washing and drying
- In washer extractors, use a reverse temperature wash process to avoid thermal shock or creasing
- Operating the final rinse at around 40°C facilitates faster evaporation rates during tumbling
- Please wash as 100% polyester or 50/50 polyester/cotton
Drying Instructions
- Please note that exact settings will vary by dryer
- As a guideline, dryers should be able to dry a load in 20 to 30 minutes at a medium to high heat (including a cool down time of approximately five minutes)
