If your patient has to spend a great deal of time in bed, they're at a higher risk of developing pressure sores. The Supaflex PRO62 Non-Turn High Risk Mattress is constructed specifically for high risk patients.

Top Layer of Castellated Foam

Castellated Layer of the Supaflex PRO62 Non-Turn High Risk Bedding

As the picture shows, the PRO62 Non-Turn Bed is designed with two layers of foam: a top layer of castellated foam with a supportive base. Castellated foam has grooves towards the surface of the mattress that contribute to the free flow of air. This therefore helps reduce surface tension on the mattress, which in turn reduces your patient's likelihood of suffering from pressure sores.

Antimicrobial Cover

Crafted with a purple waterproof and vapour-permeable fabric cover, the inner two layers of foam are protected from damage. The cover's design helps reduce shear and friction forces, as well as the ingress of fluid. This is ideal for care home settings where clients might be more prone to accidents and spills.

The Supaflex PRO62's cover is impregnated with an antimicrobial layer in the fabric's coating, making it resistant to bacterial growth (e.g. MRSA, fungal growth and house dust mites). Moving your patient can be difficult, so the bedding has the ability to either be cleaned in situ or laundered.
