Please note that the Yellow 22L Sharps Container is suitable for sharps contaminated by medicinal products, excluding those contaminated by cytotoxic and cytostatic waste.

The Sharpsguard Eco Containers range includes clinical waste disposal systems that are designed with sustainability in mind. Containers and bins in this range are constructed with at least 40% recycled plastic, while still meeting the high quality and safety standards of the previous designs.
This range is part of a long-term plan from Daniels Sharpsguard to reduce reliance on single-use plastics in the medical field. Benefits of these eco containers include:

Practical Design
The Sharpsguard Yellow 22L Sharps Containers have been designed to provide a safer method of storing sharps for incineration in larger capacities. The solid structure enables a greater quantity of sharps for disposal, providing storage for up to twenty-two litres of sharps waste at any one time. This will be particularly useful for theatres, laboratories, and sluice rooms, where high volumes of waste can be produced.
Each container also includes a yellow lid to allow for colour coding. This will provide a visual prompt for eliminating the chance of objects being placed in the incorrect containers. The label on the front of the container will also provide improved safety, with space for writing information including the container's location, department, and start date.
Hands-Free Access
The Yellow 22L XA High-Volume Sharps Container provides hands-free access with the hinged door. This will make it easier to insert larger, bulkier sharps into the container, and will also reduce the need for hands to come into direct contact with the container.
The door can remain open at either 40 or 90 degrees, and also features a temporary closure. It includes a 'push to lock' function, and features a permanent closure that increases safety during transportation by preventing sharps from escaping the container. Additionally, each container includes an absorbent pad to soak up any liquids inside.
