It is comfortable enough to be lain on by the patient indefinitely, and when placed on top of a SIBA satin base sheet, it allows for multi-directional movement so carers can help patients turn, sit up or shift themselves when lying down.

How Can Carers Use the Top Draw Sheet?

When placed on top of a SIBA Satin Base Sheet, this top draw sheet can be used by single or multiple carers to shift patients in four different directions. They can therefore be moved from side to side or up and down along the bed, turned, or helped into a sitting position both safely and comfortably.

Does This Draw Sheet Aid Movement In All Directions?

The white check marks on this draw sheet show that is can be used to move patients in four different directions, or from side to side or up and down along the bed. It can also be slid and wrapped around the patient to help them turn over, or to assist them into a sitting position.

As it is only long enough to cover the torso of individuals however, it is not suitable for patients with very limited upper or lower body mobility, as they may not be properly supported during manoeuvres.
