The Repose DermisPlus Pressure Redistribution Strips (Pack of 5) have been designed to relieve pressure points on digits, with medical devices such as face masks, or on longer body areas such as the spine. They are suitable for trimming to a more comfortable size, and can be washed for improved hygiene.
How Does DermisPlus Technology Work?
DermisPlus products have been designed to redistributes peak pressures over a wider surface area, thus reducing the risk of pressure-related tissue damage. It can be used anywhere on the body that is identified as being at risk, especially where there are bony prominences, and even under medical devices such as tubing and mask straps.
Who Can Use the DermisPlus Strips?
The DermisPlus Strips, as with the rest of the DermisPlus Prevent range, can be used in the following circumstances:
- For intact skin where there is a risk of pressure damage
- On areas of the body with existing Category 1 pressure damage
- On recently healed ulcers to protect against the risk of re-ulceration
Where Can I Use the DermisPlus Strips?
The DermisPlus Strips are ideal for relieving pressure in a wide range of areas around the body. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Longer areas of the body such as the spine
- Medical devices such as face masks, oxygen masks, nasal specs, tracheostomy tubing and ties, and rigid collars
- Pressure points on digits such as the fingers

How Easy Are the Strips to Apply?
The DermisPlus Strips are very easy to apply. Although durable when applied, DermisPlus products are flexible and comfortable, allowing for ease of application in the desired area.
How Do the Strips Stay In Place?
To ensure optimal use for pressure relief, the DermiPlus Strips should be secured in place. Suitable retention methods include using tape, a tubular bandage, or underwear.
What Size Are the Strips?
The DermisPlus Strips are available in a choice of two sizes. The dimensions for each are as follows.
- 30 x 5 x 0.3cm
- 50 x 2.5 x 0.3cm

What Are the Strips Made Of?
The DermisPlus Strips are made from a tri-polymer gel and mineral oil. They are also latex free, non-irritating, and skin friendly to reduce the risk of allergies or discomfort.
Can I Cut the DemisPlus Strips?
If you find that the DermisPlus Strips are too big or not quite the right shape for you, they can be trimmed down and cut to improve the fit and shape for you. The DermisPlus can be cut without any fibre shedding, helping to improve convenience, comfort, and hygiene.
How Durable Are the Strips?
Despite their ability to be cut to shape, the DermisPlus Strips are incredibly durable. They will remain stable in use with residue-free removal, ensuring dressing changes are as easy as possible.
How Do I Wash the Strips?
To ensure good hygiene maintenance, the DermisPlus Strips can be washed with soap and water. They can then be left to dry and then reapplied to the area as required.
