Invacare Standing Transfer Vest
For patients with some standing ability, standing slings provide a great way to help them self-transfer with added support for safety. The Invacare Standing Transfer Vest provides you with a safe and comfortable transfer, allowing the patient to walk while assisted. Developed in coordination with occupational and physical therapists, this vest is ideal to reduce strain on the carer during toileting.
The Invacare Standing Transfer Vest is available in five different sizes. Sizes Small and Large are also available with an optional groin support that helps keep the vest in place. Select your desired size using the drop-down menu above.
Ideal for Toileting
The Standing Transfer Vest is suitable for users that have limited strength in their legs and need assistance with standing. It is not suitable for people who require a full hoisted lift. People who can use the vest include people with reduced balance and/or walking ability.
Optional Groin Support
The Invacare Standing Transfer Vest reduces the chance of strain to carers and is designed for easy use. An optional groin support (available separately for Small and Large sizes) is perfect for ensuring that the vest stays in place during wear.
Materials of Invacare Slings
This sling is supplied in standard polyester. This is a standard material that is easy to apply, as it slides smoothly along clothing and dries quickly after washing.

Can the Invacare Standing Transfer Vest Be Used With Alternative Hoists?
Whilst it is recommended you use the Standing Vest with an Invacare hoist, provided the alternative hoist or sling uses a "loop and coat-hanger" design, the Invacare Transfer Vest is perfectly safe for use with it.
Care Instructions
Please follow these care instructions to make sure that your sling retains its level of quality:
- Suitable for machine washing up to 95°C
- Do not bleach
- Slings can be tumble-dried
The maximum user weight for sizes Extra Small to Large is 200kg. For Extra Large slings, the maximum weight is 250kg. Please see the chart above for recommended user weights.
