How Do I Clean the Pressure Valve Assembly?

The Inspiratory Pressure Valve Assembly can be immersed in a cold sterilising solution. Please rinse thoroughly and leave to dry before re-assembling.

When Should the Inspiratory Valve Assembly Be Used?

This Pressure Valve Assembly is necessary to measure PImax/MIP (maximal inspiratory pressure at the mouth). This is measured at residual volume with empty lungs.

The device calculates the best average from three tests, although please note that a one or two minute recovery period should be taken in between each attempt. This is used as the value of inspiratory muscle strength.
