When Can I Use the FlexiMove Transfer Aid?
This transferring aid is designed to provide support and patient for your comfort, whilst also making the process much easier for the caregiver. It is best suited to the following applications:
- Transferring from bed to wheelchair
- Positioning higher up in bed
- Assisting lying to sitting
- Assisting rising to sitting
How Can I Use this FlexiMove Aid to Raise My Patient?
For raising, this FlexiMove aid can be used to move the user's legs over the side of the bed, and then as support behind the back. If the user requires the assistance of two caregivers, one should help with the legs and the other with the upper body. During the raising process, the caregivers should stand on either side of the user and choose the handles that enable the best working stance.
How Can This Product Reposition My Patient in Bed?
To reposition the patient higher up in bed, the FlexiMove aid should be placed under the buttocks. It may also be helpful to add a friction-reducing device under the shoulders, as shown in the image below.
Is the FlexiMove Velvet Transfer Aid Comfortable?
The FlexiMove has an inside constructed from soft and comfortable polyester velvet, making for a much more pleasant experience for the patient being positioned.
How Do I Clean the FlexiMove Velvet Repositioning Assist?
This product can be washed in 60 - 80ºC water and tumble-dried at a low temperature (45 - 50ºC). Do not use rinse/fabric softener and avoid tumble-drying for optimal service life. If disinfection is required, 70% ethanol, 45% isopropanol or similar should be used.
Can I Use This Velvet Transfer Aid with Other Devices?
