Will the Two Direction Maxi Sheet Reduce Friction?
The Etac 2D Maxi Base Sheet is a traditional base sheet with a slide area that covers the full length of the bed. This means that the patient can simply lie directly on the sheet with little concern about their position. The sheet also helps reduce friction between the bedding and nightwear to prevent chafing and pain during the day, while also reducing the risk of pressure sores and ulcers.
Why Doesn't the Low-Friction Panel Cover the Whole Sheet?
Though the whole length is covered by the low-friction satin panel, the two edges along the side are instead made of cotton and polyester that'll brake movement. This will allow the user to sit on the edge of the bed without sliding, and will also prevent falling.
Care Instructions
The Etac 2D Two Direction Maxi Base Sheet is suitable for machine washing at 80°C. Please note that fabric softener or bleach should not be used on this product. The sheet can be tumble dried but should not be dry cleaned, and is suitable for ironing on a low heat.
