Who Can Use the Erler-Zimmer Strap-On Vaccination Trainer?

This trainer is designed to assist in medical training. It enables intramuscular injection to be practised, as is typically done when vaccinating. The model can be used as a vaccination trainer, but also as a normal IM injection trainer and as a subcutaneous injection trainer.

What Is an Intramuscular Injection?

Intramuscular injections are used to deliver medication deep into the muscles so it can be absorbed into the bloodstream. These include vaccinations and flu shots, making this trainer perfect for the training of those procedures.

What Is a Subcutaneous Injection?

Subcutaneous injections usually involves a short needle which injects a drug in the tissue layer between the skin and the muscle. This is often absorbed more slowly than IM injections. Drugs that are administered in this way include insulin, some hormones and pain medications such as morphine.

How Lifelike Is the IM Injection Training Aid?

Can I Inject Liquid Into the Erler-Zimmer Strap-On Injection Trainer?

To help you get the most accurate feel during training, the arm model can be injected with liquid. The model can also be dismantled, in order that the liquid can easily be removed after the exercise. 

Can I Attach the Vaccination Trainer to an Arm?

As well as being used independently. the Strap-On Vaccination Simulator can be attached easily to an arm using the Velcro strap. This will assist in more accurate training. To keep the wearer safe, the back of the arm model is puncture-proof.
