How Do I Use the Ultra-Glide Transfer Sheet?

The Ultra-Glide Transfer Sheet is a full body length transfer sheet and features continuous looped handles running around three sides. The handles on the top edge of the sheet provide extra support to the patient's head during repositioning.

Recommended usages include turning, repositioning and lateral transfers. First, place the Transfer Sheet beneath the patient using an approved manual handling technique. When the patient is centrally positioned, use the handles for repositioning or transferring.

Please note that Transtex Transfer Sheet is not intended for lifting; all patient repositioning manoeuvres should be accomplished without lifting.

Low Friction Transtex Material

Ensuring that patients are comfortable during repositioning, Cromptons Transfer Sheets feature Transtex fine fabric that is silicone coated on both sides, which reduces friction. Please note that these transfer sheets are patient specific, meaning that they are not intended for laundering.

Available Sizes

Allowing you to select the transfer sheet that best suits your needs, Cromptons Ultra-Glide Transfer Sheets are available in three sizes. Please see the table below for more information on available sizes.

Maintenance of Ultra-Glide Patient Specific Transfer Sheets

Ultra-Glide Transfer Sheets are intended to accompany the patient during their stay in the hospital and then be discarded when the patient has no further use of them. As such, they are not intended for laundering.

Although Ultra-Glide Transfer Sheets  have a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg, wear and tear will progressively reduce weight capacity. It is advised that you always inspect your sheets prior to use for stitching and fabric degradation.

Please note that Transtex Ultra-Glide Transfer Sheet is not intended for lifting.
