How Do I Use the Cromptons Flat Transfer Sheet?

Transtex Flat Transfer Sheets can be used as a pair or as a single sheet folded in half. First, pass the sheet beneath the patient, using an approved manual handling technique. When the patient is safely positioned centrally on the sheet, take a firm grasp of the transfer sheet fabric and reposition the patient.

Please note that Transtex Transfer Sheet is not intended for lifting; all patient repositioning manoeuvres should be accomplished without lifting. It is important to follow your local hospital patient handling guidelines, which are normally available from the Health and Safety department.

Low Friction Transtex Material

Ensuring that patients are comfortable during repositioning, Cromptons Transfer Sheets feature Transtex fine fabric that is silicone coated on both sides, which reduces friction. The material is suitable for cleaning, allowing you to use the sheet with multiple patients.

Available Sizes

Allowing you to select the slide sheet that best suits your needs, Cromptons Flat Transfer Sheets are available in three sizes. Please see the table below for more information on available sizes.

Maintenance of Cromptons Reusable Sheets

Although Ultra-Glide Transfer Sheets have a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg, wear and tear will progressively reduce weight capacity. It is advised that you always inspect your sheets prior to use for stitching and fabric degradation.

Laundering Instructions

To clean the Transtex Transfer Sheets, please follow standard hospital laundry guidelines HSG(95)18. Bleaching agents should be avoided and the maximum recommended washing temperature is 80°C. To dry, drip drying is recommended, although low temperature tumble drying may be used if necessary.

Please note that Transtex Flat Transfer Sheet is not intended for lifting.
