Beurer BC50 Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor with Extra-Large Display

The Beurer BC50 Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor with Extra-Large Display is a fully automatic device that allows you to measure your blood pressure and pulse as quickly and efficiently as possible. It can be used in both medical environments and at home, and with two separate storage spaces it can save the recordings of two users.

What's Included?

  • 1 x Beurer BC50 Wrist Monitor with Cuff
  • 2 x 1.5V AAA Batteries
  • 1 x Storage Case

Who Can Use the Beurer BC50 Monitor?

Due to its combination of accuracy and ease of use, the Beurer BC50 is ideal for use both in medical situations and at home. The portable slimline nature of the device makes it particularly useful for on-call doctors or locum medics who prefer to use their own equipment.

How Do I Use the BC50 Blood Pressure Monitor?

The BC50 Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor is exceptionally easy to use. Simply wrap the cuff around your wrist and press the start button, and the monitor takes care of the rest, with the results displayed on the extra-large screen.

If you're not sure how to interpret the measurements, the monitor has you covered. The risk indicator easily classifies your readings with a coloured scale, so you always know if your blood pressure is within the normal range. The Beurer BC50 User Manual below provides further instructions for use.

What Can the BC50 Monitor Tell Me?

The large LCD screen displays a range of recordings to make readings as informative as possible. The following information is provided:

  • Systolic Pressure: the top number of your blood pressure reading, taken when your heart beats. Optimal systolic pressure should be below 120mmHg.
  • Diastolic Pressure: the bottom number of your blood pressure reading, taken when your heart rests between beats. Optimal diastolic pressure should be below 80mmHg.
  • Risk Indicator: the 'traffic lights' strip beside the systolic and diastolic readings. The little arrow points to green when your readings are considered 'normal', with yellow, amber, and red increasingly indicating the need to seek medical assistance for your blood pressure.
  • Cardiac Arrhythmia Symbol: indicates any potential disruptions of heart rhythm. If this is indicated, the cardiac arrhythmia symbol appears on the screen.
  • Calculated Pulse Value: provides information about your pulse rate.
  • Average Value: displays the average value of the last three measurements. This is useful as an indication of your average blood pressure reading, as it may vary slightly from one reading to the next.

If you are unsure about what your readings mean, or if you are concerned that your readings are outside of healthy peramaters, we recommend that you consult your doctor. You can save the readings to the monitor and take it along with you to your appointment.

Will the Cuff Fit My Wrist?

The BC50 wrist cuff features a circumference of 135mm to 230mm. This makes it suitable for the average adult user.

How Many Readings Can I Store On the Blood Pressure Monitor?

There are two separate storage spaces in the monitor, and each of which is capable of storing up to 60 readings. This means two people in the same household can save results on the monitor, or if you're using the monitor on your own then you may wish to use one storage space for morning readings and the other for evening readings.

How Do I Clean the Beurer Pulse Monitor?

The device and cuff can both be cleaned using a damp cloth. The batteries must be removed, and cleaning agents, solvents, or other liquids must not be used.
